Beth Orton has announced a new LP entitled Sugaring Season to be released October 2. Its lead track, Something More Beautiful is above.
As Orton’s first release in over six years, Sugaring Season follows up her 2006 solo release Comfort of Strangers and will also mark her debut effort on the Anti-Records label. A U.S. tour in support of the LP will commence September 20 in Nashville.
Of the unique ‘folktronic’ vibe Orton has taken as her signature, the UK-born singer-songwriter comments: “It may not be a ‘dance’ beat but it’s definitely there, and it’s earthed and primal and insistent.”
