In a recent interview with UK paper The Guardian, Damon Albarn suggested that both of his well-loved bands, Blur and Gorillaz, would likely be disbanding. More recently however, according to Metro, Albarn revised his earlier statements and indicated that the opposite might now be true.
“Some days I feel one way and other days I feel the other, ” Albarn told Metro. If you don’t see something as a career but an important part of your life, you don’t know how you’re going to feel about it.” He added, “Nothing’s been said between us about the beginning or the end,” and that performing with Blur is “one of the best feelings I’ve ever had.”
Perhaps to help diffuse the upset he created with longtime fans, Albarn reminded Metro that not everything he says should be taken seriously.
Wach Albarn perform Apple Carts in a Dr. Dee teaser below. The new soundtrack to his forthcoming opera features Albarn accompanied ‘by early English choral and instrumentation alongside modern, West African and Renaissance sounds,’ and will be released by Parlophone Records on May 7th, 2012
