The late Kurt Cobain’s 19-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, has won her legal bid to take sole control of her fathers name, likeness, appearance, and intellectual property rights.
Now officially ousted, Frances Bean’s mother and former reigning proprietor Courtney Love, is said to have stepped down from her position of Acting Manager of End of Music LLC (the firm responsible for monetizing Cobain’s publicity rights).
This decision will substantially increase Frances Bean’s already very healthy net worth. According to reports, Love has taken out a $2.75 million dollar loan from her daughter’s trust fund – a fund she also lost control of along with her daughter’s custody – in 2009.
