For the first time since 2006′s The Drift, singer/songwriter/producer Scott Walker is working on a new LP with a tentative Fall 2012 release date, reports Pitchfork.
News of the experimental artist’s latest musical endeavor was revealed at a special 4AD event in New York City on Wednesday night (June 20th) when the label premiered an as-yet untitled track from the forthcoming record.
Described as “epically unpredictable,” the track reportedly “went from pummeling drum rhythms to near-a cappella crooning” to make for an overall “unsettling, daunting, thrilling” listen.
Would we expect anything less from Walker?
