The Smiths plan an autumn reunion?

In what can only be considered  wishful thinking at this point, UK site Music-News.com has reported that well-loved Manchester band The Smiths are talking with a “well known promoter” about a major fall reunion tour.

Morrissey, Johnny Marr and crew have been offered millions to reform at various points since their final show was played at London’s Brixton Academy in December 1986 (see video below). They’ve famously refused each time.

Fellow Mancunians Stone Roses, not nearly so adamant about recapturing their glory days, will play this year’s T In The Park, a popular Scottish festival taking place July 6-8 in Balado Park, Kinross.
